The Veilguard is the latest in line for the Dragon Age game series, and it is a massive, open world RPG. Besides embarking on quests, you also have collectibles to find. If you are looking for ways to upgrade your Caretaker’s Workshop, then you will be on a hunt for Mementos. These collectible items are quite rare, and easily missable.

To identify the Memento locations, you need to explore specific areas; and if you go past the quest onto the next one, then the chances of missing these collectibles are high. There are three such missable memento locations to keep in mind while exploring the Ossuary. In this guide we will show where are they located in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

All 3 Ossuary Memento Locations In Dragon Age: The Veilguard

You come across the Memento locations in the Ossuary as part the Chapter 4 – Sea of Blood quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. You need to pick up the Memento while the quest is still active, or you risk losing them forever. Below are the locations where you can find each one.

The Ossuary Memento Location #1: The Dragon’s Decoy

When you first start the Sea of Blood main story quest, you will be tasked with recruiting the Demon of Vyrantium, a.k.a, Lucanis. This is where you will step foot at The Ossuary to rescue him. After destroying the three red crystals to free Lucanis from his prison, you will get an objective to Find and Destroy the Vial of Lucanis’s Blood.

During this objective, you have to defeat waves of Mages to get the High Security Key quest item. Use the key in the High Security room marked by the quest objective to gain entry inside. Inside this room, check the table to find the first Memento called The Dragon’s Decoy.

The Ossuary Memento Location #2: Ammazzacaffé

During the same quest objective, keep making progress till you reach The Fabricator mini boss. After defeating her, your quest marker will update, and you have to make your way to the Blood Vault. Within the Blood Vault is where you can find Lucanis’s blood vial, and also collect the second Memento. Once you reach the Blood Vault, check the table to get the Ammazzacaffe Memento.

    The Ossuary Memento Location #3

The final Memento can be collected after defeating The Ossuary’s final boss – Calivan. Take the elevator all the way up to the fourth floor to find the boss and beat him. After that, Lucanis will ask you whether you wish to leave the area or not. Select the option Not Yet, then exit the boss room.

Make your way towards the southeastern room called the Overlook. On top of one of the cabinets is the final Memento, but there seems to be a bug with this one. Even if you have collected the Memento, it doesn’t show up on your Memento log book.

How To Use Mementos In Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Mementos can be used to upgrade the Caretaker’s Workshop in the Lighthouse. Increasing the Caretaker’s Workshop helps in increasing your weapon and gear level. Besides this, you also get a chance to unlock new Enchantments if the Caretaker’s Workshop reaches a certain rank.

Enchantments can be applied to your gear and weapons to give them an additional boost in their stats. The higher your Caretaker’s Workshop level is, the more upgrades and Enchantments you can unlock. The maximum level that you can upgrade the Caretaker’s Workshop is to rank 10. There are other Mementos to find in the overworld once you unlock different locations, so you can keep an eye out for them to gather them all.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard offers tons of puzzles to solve as well, and we have a bunch of guides for a handful of them. If you are stuck, you can check out how to power the door or open the Warden vault guides to help you out.
