Since the launch of the Desert Perpetual raid, you can unlock several new and rare Exotic weapons in Destiny 2. Each new weapon that you get comes with a set of unique perks and skills, so you will have tons of choices when it comes to enhancing your build. One of the newer weapons to unlock is the Whirling Ovation, and this guide will explain how to get it in Destiny 2.
Whirling Ovation Exotic Rocket Launcher Location

There are two ways to get the Whirling Ovation in the game, and both methods can be applied while playing the new Desert Perpetual raid mode. The first method involves playing the raid mode normally and defeating the final boss. Doing so will give you the Whirling Ovation as a random drop. Do remember that you can complete this run once per week on each character, giving you just 3 tries per week.
The second method involves completing the raid in Contest Mode whenever it is available. Doing so will guarantee the Whirling Ovation to drop after completing the raid. Contest Mode offers several Triumphs to complete, which act as challenges. Below are all the challenges that you need to do to get the Whirling Ovation.
- Feature Presentation – Complete the raid with active feats.
- Death-Defiant – Complete the raid without your teammates dying.
- Brutal Efficiency – Complete the raid with Phase Race feat.
- This is War – Complete the raid with Cutthroat Combat feat.
- Battling Battalions – Complete the raid with Battalions feat.
