Cronos: The New Dawn’s apocalyptic world is filled with collectibles like Comic Books and Cats that you can collect to receive rewards such as Energy Cores, ammo, and unlock the Catfinder Achievement/Trophy. There are 10 feline friends that you need to find in this survival horror title, and every faint meow you hear would indicate that one of them’s close by. In this guide, we’ll help you locate all 10 Cats in Cronos: The New Dawn.
Cat #1: Borowka

You can find the first Cat, Borowka, at the beginning of Cronos: The New Dawn. Head to the underground shopping centre after the first Merge, and climb down a flight of stairs to find Borowka. Listen for a faint meow when at the bottom of the stairs to find Borowka inside the room. Borowka will drop a Small Shell Patch as a reward.
Cat #2: Mela

The second Cat, Mela, is located outside the Housing Complex in the area where the Hardware Store is also located. Look for a chained door when you enter this area. You need to get the Bolt Cutters first to unlock the door. Progress the level until you obtain the Bolt Cutters, head back to the location you came from to find the chained door, then unlock it to add Mela to your Cat Collection. As a reward, Mela will drop the Traveler’s Seal Key.
Cat #3: Karol

The third Cat, Karol, will be located at the Park beside the Hardware Store in Cronos: The New Dawn. When you’re looking for Edward near the Hardware Store, you’ll find Karol, but you can’t pet the Cat yet. Follow the Cat who’ll take you to a building, then progress through the level until you’re outside once again. When you’re outside, head back to the Hardware Store. Just next to it, you’ll find a Park where Karol will be located. Pet the Cat to receive an Energy Core.
Cat #4: Cynamon

Cynamon will be located inside a locked door with a red light near the trams at the Tram Station A in Cronos: The New Dawn. To unlock the door, you need to progress through the level and turn on the tram station’s power. Once the power has been restored, head back to the Tram Station A Platform and follow Cynamon’s meows to access the door and add the Cat to your collection. Cynamon will drop an Energy Core as a reward for your troubles.
Cat #5: Merlin

The fifth Cat, Merlin, is located inside the Steelworks in Cronos: The New Dawn. Progress through the level until you obtain the Gravity Boots, then head back to the initial dive section by climbing up via Gravity Pads, and then use your Emitter to move an anomaly, revealing another Gravity Pad. Use this Pad to come to an open door. Head inside and jump down to the building, where Merlin will be located. As a reward, Merlin will drop an Energy Core.
Cat #6: Balbina

Balbina is located inside a locked door in the backrooms inside the Terminal in Cronos: The New Dawn. After talking to the Warden, head to the maintenance halls to restore power to the Terminal, located between the Steelworks and the Hospital. Once you’ve restored power, head to the backrooms where you’ll find a door with a green light above it, which was initially locked. Enter the room to find Balbina, who’ll drop an Energy Core as a reward.
Cat #7: Gus

The seventh Cat in Cronos: The New Dawn, Gus, is located inside an apartment in Sector A-0. Progress through the apartment complex until you have to fight multiple enemies in a blocked area. Once done, jump through the complex, and look out for a Gravity Pad blocked by wooden planks. Shoot the wooden planks, use the Gravity Pad to jump ahead, then head to the apartment below, where you’ll find Gus. You’ll receive an Energy Core as a reward, along with a ton of supplies in the case behind the Cat.
Cat #8: Bebola

Bebola will be located in one of the rooms after going down the Operation Block hallway in Cronos: The New Dawn. Progress through the Hospital sections to obtain the Access Keycard, then head to the Operation Block located on the left of the building, near the Morgue. Fight through the Operation Block hallway all the way to the end, then turn right and follow the backrooms to find Bebola in one of the rooms, who’ll drop an Energy Core.
Cat #9: India

The ninth Cat, India, will be located inside a store with a wall crack at Tram Station B in Cronos: The New Dawn. Inside the Tram Station B, when you’re tasked with restoring power via the second generator, head down to the hallway to find the Shopping Centre. Deal with the enemies, head to the Electronics Store at the back and lead electricity to the power station on the wall to restore power to the Shopping Centre. Then, access the store with the large green sign, turn left, break the boards on the wall and head into the room where India will be located. Pet the Cat to receive the Toy Store Key.
Cat #10: Freya

The final Cat, Freya, will be located in the Old Cemetery at the Abbey in Cronos: The New Dawn.
