Brighter Shores is a unique RPG point-and-click adventure that reminds players of RuneScape. But Brighter Shores offers a lot more in terms of gameplay features and mechanics. You can unlock new professions and level them up to unlock new quests while exploring Hopeport and beyond. During the early stages of the game, you would have a hard time trying to collect materials and return them to the bank for storage.
You would be required to make multiple trips back and forth just to store items. But later in the game, you can unlock a special quest that will help you get the Storage Rift Spell. In this guide we have detailed out how to complete the Spider’s Nest quest in Brighter Shores.
How To Unlock Spider’s Nest Quest in Brighter Shores
The Spider’s Nest Quest in Brighter Shores has an unlock requirement of level 32 in Carpentry. The road to leveling up your Carpentry skills all the way to level 32 can be tedious. First, reach level 20 by performing all the simple Carpentry tasks. After that, collect enough Knowledge Points and convert them into XP.
Keep leveling up your Carpentry skills till you can get passive training skills. That way, your character will continue to grind for Carpentry XP while you are AFK. The best job that can help you grind is to buy logs and saw them in the saw machine, then sell them for XP and cash.
How To Start Spider’s Nest Quest In Brighter Shores
The Spider’s Nest Quest in Brighter Shores kicks off by speaking to a person trapped inside a spider web in Cliffside Path. Once you have reached level 32 in Carpentry, make your way to the southeast section of Hopeforest. While exploring the area, you will come across Toblaine. Speak to him to start the Spider’s Nest quest.
Rescue Toblaine
Climb up towards the spider’s nest to get to him, but no matter what path you take to get to the web, you will fail. After your failed attempt, Alannor will appear and tell you to gather Tar Rats to feed the spider. Make your way to the Small Clearing area south of Mine Road East in Hopeforest. Find an NPC called Hamish Truefire who will give you Tar Rats, but, surprise surprise, asks for something in return. You need to collect the following items to give him.
- 1*Golden Marrow
- 1*Snake Eyeball
- 2*Uncoated Anti-Acid Shields
How To Get Snake Eyeball
Head northeast of Hopeforest Central towards Snakes Path or Snakes Clearing. You will find a bunch of Vipers here to defeat and collect Snake Eyeball. These creatures are level 8 enemies, so come prepared for a tough fight if you are still in the early stages of the game.
How To Get Golden Marrow
Next, head over to the area between Timberwell Road and Timberwell Green. There is a plot of land containing some regular Marrow that you can collect. Then, make your way west towards Mr McGrish’s Garden. Speak to Mr McGrish and ask him whether you can inspect his Golden Marrow, but he will refuse such a request unless you are from the fruit and vegetable committee. Now, you need to pose as one, but you need to get a badge first. Congratulations, the fetch quest just had another branch added to it.
Head on towards the Huntsman Clearing and speak to Kedwick Shalstanger in front of the Hunter’s Lodge. Ask him if he is part of the fruits and vegetables committee, and ask him to hand over his badge. He will tell you that you first need to prove yourself by finding and killing one of those forest mutants. You need to find a Spriggan creature and kill it to get its claw, and these creatures spawn around Treeway Junction and Treeway Trail, north of Hopeforest Central. After getting the claw, return to Kedwick and receive your badge.
Now, you need to return to Mr McGrish and get his golden marrow. On your way towards the garden, you will spot some gold paint tin in front of some apple trees. Collect the paint, then head inside Mr McGrish’s residence. Head out the other entrance on the side and pick up the actual golden marrow while painting your regular marrow golden. Switch the two marrows to get Golden Marrow.
How To Get Uncoated Anti-Acid Shields
Collect 1*Ash Log from Gwen’s Lumber and use it at the Circular Saw. This is where you need to be at level 32 in Carpentry to purchase and use this item. After getting two Ash Planks, head over to the workbench and turn them into two Uncoated Anti-Acid Shields.
Craft Coated Anti-Acid Shield & Get The Storage Rift Spell
Make your way back to Hamish and place all your collected items into the cauldron. You can now use the Coated Anti-Acid shield to pass through Acidic Avenue till you reach the Pool of Rainbows. Talk to Marcus Mint here and you can learn the spell Storage Rift. You can now unlock and use these rifts to transport items back to the respective banks without actually traveling all the way to the bank.
How To Unlock Armor Dyeing In Brighter Shores
Collect water from the Pool of Rainbows using a bucket and take it back to the Color Wheel store. You can find this store west of Timberwell Side Road. After handing over the bucket of Rainbow water, you can now unlock the armor dyeing option to customize the color of your armor.
Rescue Toblaine Again
Of course, we cannot leave Toblaine behind. Head back to Hamish and collect the Tar Rat, then make your way back to the spider nest in Cliffside Path. There’s going to be a tough fight ahead, so make sure that you are above level 35 for the task. Take the Tar Rat and place it on the Big Flat Boulder to lure the Titan Spider. Once the Titan Spider has been ensnared, an army of mini Titan Spiders will appear. Defeat them all, then save Toblaine to collect your rewards.
Spider’s Nest Quest Rewards
- 6,900*Carpenter XP.
- 28,500*Scout XP.
- Storage Rift Spell.
- Access to Rainbow Water.
