Hunting for resources is a huge part of the open-world survival game ASKA. The world is huge, and when you’re building your Viking settlement from scratch, you need to learn how to salvage everything important from the environment.

Wondering how each resource works in the game?

In this guide, we’ll give you a complete rundown of all the primary resources that you can find in ASKA.

    All Resources Available in ASKA

Resources in ASKA can range from food items like mushrooms and mushrooms to more unorthodox things like bone fragments and leather scraps. Don’t worry; we’ll get to all of them:

    Jotun Blood

Jotun Blood is one of the most essential resources in the game. The player can use it to summon more villagers in ASKA from the Eye of Odin. You can find Jotun Blood shards all around the map. Mining them using a Pickaxe usually gives you two or three Jotun Blood. You can also find them from enemies like Draugers and Wights.

    Stones

Stones can be picked up off the ground in ASKA. There are two types of stones that you can come across in the game:

    • Small Stones: You’ll find them scattered around the ground, and you can pick them up simply by interacting with them. You can also mine smaller rock clumps to get them.
    • Large Stones: Unlike Small Stones, you can’t directly pick up Large Stones. You can mine them from large boulders and Jotun Blood shards.

    Tree & Wood Type Resources:

The lush world in ASKA is filled with resources that you can harvest from trees in the woods. There are two types of trees in the game. The darker Fur trees can be chopped down for resources using stone tools. However, if you want to chop the lighter Birch Trees, you need to upgrade your tools to Metal.

While some of the tree type resources can be hand-gathered, most of the wood resources that you can harvest comes from chopping down trees. Here’s a complete list of the resources that you can gather from trees in the game so far:

    • Sticks
    • Long Sticks
    • Logs
    • Firewood
    • Bark
    • Resin

    Thatch

Thatch is a location-restricted resource that you can only find near the coastal regions by harvesting Reeds. Press Scan to highlight the environment to find it near beaches or rivers.

    Fiber

The best source of Fiber in the game is to harvest them from Flax flowers. As you progress later on, you’ll also be able to grow and farm them in your village.

    Foragable Food Resources:

In ASKA, managing your hunger is essential. You can find many edible resources in the game simply by walking around the map. Some of these foods are seasonal, and some are tied to specific locations. You’ll learn more about how to find food as you play through the game.

Here’s a list of all the food resources you can find in the game:

    • Mussels
    • Mushrooms (Regular, Grey, Yellow)
    • Feathers & Wild Eggs
    • Onions
    • Garlic
    • Carrots & Cabbage
    • Beetroot
    • Berries
    • Seeds

    Fish

If you build your base close to the coast, Fish can be a major food source for your village. You need to unlock the Flimsy Fishing Rod and equip the right Bait to catch fishes in the game.

    Raw Red Meat

The world in ASKA is home to a variety of mythical beasts and animals. Later in the game, you’ll unlock the Hunter’s Hut. Assigning your Villagers to the hut will turn them into hunters, and they’ll regularly go out and hunt animals to bring Raw Red Meat as resources. You can later cook them to feed your villagers.

    Bone Fragments & Leather Scraps

In addition to giving you Raw Red Meat, most animals also drop Leather Scraps and Bone Fragments that you can harvest. While they are not the most important resource in the early game, as you get to the later parts, these resources are important to build armor, weapons, and advanced buildings.

And there you have it! These are all of the key resources that you need to know about in ASKA. For more tips and tricks, keep an eye out on theGameslayer.
