When you are playing a true open-world RPG, the game will hand you the option to do the quests in different ways. Star Wars Outlaws brings this in the form of Factions & Reputations into the mix, and that can significantly change how you go about a quest. This becomes evident when, as part of the main storyline, you are tasked with stealing the Blaster Part from the Crimson Dawn district in ‘New Tricks’. In this guide, we have covered both scenarios – so lets get started!
New Tricks Quest Guide: How To Steal The Blaster Part
There are three parts to this quest – getting into the Restricted Zone, stealing the Blaster Part and making your way out. The reputation that you have with the Crimson Dawn can make the first and the last part considerably easy or tough. We have included both scenarios in our guide below.
Get To The Restricted Zone With Bad Reputation
- Get to the Crimson Dawn district, and make your way to the restaurant, here you will see two guards inside, guarding the doorway. If your faction rating is good, you can go through without trouble. Since our relationship with them is not on good terms, we will need to look for another way.
- Move out of the restaurant, and turn left. You will see a small doorway with a red light coming out of it, located on the right side of the restaurant. Get inside the room, you will see the vent on the top will be locked, send in Nix to do its magic to open the Vent’s door.
- Once you are in the vent, start heading onward turn left, and you will be inside the restaurant. You will get a prompt showing your relationship with Crimson Dawn. Open the door and head straight, you will go through another door, but keep your direction straight.
- This will take you directly to an area swarming with guards, quickly hit crouch, and take down the first guard. We will have to go through the giant doorway in the center of the location, but you will see two guards guarding the route to the doorway. Here we will have to take a different approach.
- When you Stealth Takedown the first guard, the guard at the giant doorway will move toward your location. here turn around and jump down to the ground floor.
- Once you are on the ground, move to your right, eventually, you will get to an area filled with computers and machines. Take the guard on the patrol blocking our path. Keep moving in that direction, the knocked-out guards will distract other guards in the area.
- Then you will eventually reach the large doorway, but before we get on the platform, there is an item near the box across from you, send in Nix to get it, and you will get Coarseweave x1 material.
- Now head to the doorway, don’t worry about the guards, they will not be there, since they are investigating that knocked-out guard near the computers. The doorway is free to move, but always crouch-walk, don’t stand up. Or you can move to the right side of the doorway, and climb the boxes to get to the platform.
Get To The Restricted Zone With Good Reputation
- Make your way to Crimson Dawn district, and head into the restaurant, since your reputation is good with the group, you can go through the doorway on the right without the guard saying anything. From here turn left, eventually, you will arrive at a large base filled with guards. Again, nobody will do or say anything to you. Keep heading left, until you are in the base. From here you are free to walk around the base, but there is a limit to it.
- Look to the north, you will see a massive doorway, two guards will be waiting by it, the second you step into the location, you will get caught. But don’t worry, you can walk around without any trouble, make your way to the right side of the doorway, and you will see a green box, leading up to the platform above.
- Once you are on the platform, you will have to crouch, if you get detected you will get thrown out.
If you have followed the guide with bad or good reputation, eventually you will be on the giant circle platform. Here onwards, the way ahead is the same for both cases.
Stealing The Blaster Part From Crimson Dawn
- Once you go through the giant doorway, you will find yourself on a large platform, stick to the right side of the platform, after a short distance, you will come across a guard patrolling in a circle. take him out of the picture. And again, stick to the right side of the platform.
- Quickly you will see two guards on your left, take both of them out since going around them can take some time, we have to improvise here. keep sticking to the right side, eventually, you will come face-to-face with two of the guards. Here make a roll to the cover in front of you, this will trigger both the guards to move away from their original location.
- One guard will approach you on your left, and the other from your right. Here send Nix to distract the guard on the left, and you take out the guard on the right, then quickly make to the other guard and eliminate him. The coast is all clear now for us to move on.
- On the table to your right, where you took down the guard, you will find Antique Bracelet x1, grab it. On the ground, you will see a thick wire linking the generator to the giant fan on the left. Command Nix to pull the lever to turn off the fan, follow the wire, guiding you to the fan.
- Go through the fan, through the hole on the left, and keep heading towards that direction, you will come across a container, loot it to get Helicyclic Gears x3 (perfect for speeder upgrade). Turn around, you will see a ladder on the floor. Crouch-walk up to the vent in the ground, release the ladder, and drop inside.
- In this room, you will find the Renpalli Station Keycard, Durasteel x1, Antique Bracelet x2, Enhanced Durasteel Hull x1, Chalcopyrite x1, Chack Rootx1, and lastly, the Blaster Part.
Getting Out Of The Crimson Dawn Area
- Now that we have what we’re looking for, it’s time to leave. Climb the ladder. On the right, you will see a lever, command Nix to pull it down, it will turn off the fan. It’s the same fan we used to get inside, it’s time to do it again to get outside.
- Now that you are outside the fan, it’s time to get out the same way we got in. Just retrace the steps back, it’s easy to do since all you have to do is follow the knocked-down guards on the floor.
- If you have a Good Reputation with Crimson Dawn – congrats you can now just saunter out without a worry and the quest is complete.
- If you have a Bad Reputation with Crimson Dawn – the quest still continues till you make it to the restaurant.
That’s it, it is better to have a good reputation at your corner, to make the game work for you.
