The Stone Cutter can be crafted using a Workbench at your base and collecting the following resources:

    • Smelted Iron Bars x 2
    • Wood x 10
    • Stone x 4

Once you have gathered these resources, the blueprints for the Stone Cutter will unlock in the Crafting menu. With all the resources in hand, you can simply place the Stone Cutter in any vacant area of your base. Do keep in mind that you need to place the Stone Cutter in the area range where you wish to construct or upgrade stone buildings.

Requirements For Unlocking Stone Cutter In Valheim

Before you can craft the Stone Cutter in Valheim; you need to take care of the following:

    • Unlocking Iron
    • Crafting a Smelter
    • Access to an open area in your base to construct the Stone Cutter
    • While not necessary, reliable tools like the Iron Pickaxe will go a long way in making stone construction easy for you.

Let’s quickly have a look at all these.

    How To Unlock Iron

To get your hands on iron in Valheim, you need to defeat the second boss in the game, “The Elder”. This is recommended because The Elder holds the key to Sunken Crypts which is the best place to obtain iron scraps. You will, however, have to keep up with the challenges of the Swamps to get to this location.

    How To Melt Scrap Iron

You need a Smelter in your base to melt the scrap iron into iron bars. All you need to do is approach the Smelter and place the scrap iron into it, the machine will melt the scraps into an iron bar.

    Recommended Tools For Stone Construction

It is also recommended to have reliable tools for handling stones. Iron Pickaxe is ideal for working with different kinds of rocks in Valheim. You also want to keep a hoe for stone construction.
