5 Best Marvel Rivals Maps and How to Play Them

Marvel Rivals does offer a plethora of different maps divided among the three game modes, but some maps prove more beneficial to certain heroes than others. Some maps are far superior to others, and they give your heroes an added edge. This guide will give you a quick rundown of the top 5 Marvel Rival maps and how to play them.

    Marvel Rivals Best Maps Explained

Since there are 13 maps that are randomly generated each time you pick a game mode, you will be left with no choice but to go ahead with the map you get. However, by learning how these maps work, you get an added advantage in knowing your way around. Some maps are better suited to some hero types, while others offer unique environmental challenges and obstacles to overcome.

To properly deal with a map that is handed to you, you need to learn the ins and outs of each of them and learn their strengths and weaknesses. Each map is unique, so let’s take a look at the top 5 best maps in the game and how they work.

    Klyntar: Symbiotic Surface

Found in the Convergence game mode, this unique map offers several hiding spots and interactable items that give your team an added advantage. Utilizing the environment helps you remain undetected while also creating new pathways to reach your targets. Most hero types will benefit from working on this map, but Strategists will find themselves right at home here.

Long-range defenders like Penny Parker, Hawkeye, and Hela will find this map’s hiding spots extremely valuable, while attackers like Spider-Man and Doctor Strange‘s high-flying moves are beneficial while utilizing the several vantage points to trap enemies. Heroes like Groot and Star Lord will find the vast expansive space to their liking, perfect for performing AoE attacks.

Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda: Hall of Djaliaa

Another Convergence map, The Hall of Djaliaa, is more complex to get around. That is the beauty of this map, and it is suited for close-range and long-range battles. There is no clear-cut pathway to the end, making this map highly unpredictable. While this may seem like a troublesome map to play in, with the right heroes, this will turn into your advantage.

Stealthy heroes like Black Panther are best suited here, as the unpredictability of the map is perfect for them to lash forward when least expected. Since there aren’t a lot of hiding spots, go for tankier heroes like Groot, Venom, Hulk, or any Vanguard heroes. Long rangers might find this map a bit of a disadvantage, but it is still doable with the right team having your back.

    Hydra Charteris Base: Hell’s Heaven

Once you hop into Domination, you might get Hell’s Heaven as your map. This map is most suited for close-range combat, and Dualists will find themselves right at home here. Players might find the ever-changing environment a bit of a hurdle, but with the right tactics, these might be used to your advantage.

The movable pillars and other objects are perfect for defending yourself against long-range attacks. Since there isn’t a fixed entry or exit point, you might have to use heroes who could cover all bases. That’s where most Dualists come in, as their varying playstyles are perfect to catch players off guard.

    Yggsgard: Royal Palace

For a more scenic map in Domination, you might find the Royal Palace extremely beautiful. The open spaces of the various rooms and the fewer spots to hide make the gameplay run much faster on this map than on others. Locating vantage points is also a pain, so you would mostly take your battles to the ground. Strategists like Loki, Rocket, and Jeff would all have a warmer welcome here than other hero types.

Since there aren’t a lot of good hiding spots and it is easier to spot players coming out from entry or exit points, Strategist heroes have a better time trapping them for their team to handle. The monotony of the map makes it predictable, giving you an easier time wiping out the opposing team.

    Tokyo 2099: Spider-Islands

Heroes with high mobility will find this Convoy map fulfilling. Opt for heroes who also have high HP, as the cramped alleyways will be a bane and also a boon for you and the opposing team. While it may seem cramped from the start, by tearing down the environment, you get to unlock more space for open combat.

Most hero types will fare well here, more so Dualists and Vanguards than Strategists. Heroes like Black Widow and Moon Night work well when they get up to a vantage point, while higher HP and healers like Thor and Luna Snow will find that capturing enemies in cramped spaces works best for them.

Besides checking out the best map layouts, you also need to pick out your best Marvel Rival heroes to help you win. Check out our guides on playing Blade, Mister Fantastic, and Invisible Woman to know more.
