Any team you are building in Persona 5: The Phantom X needs a healer to survive. Mona or Morgana is an excellent healer in the game; her skills can land critical healing on all allies. Merging with a perfect weapon, Revelation Cards, Mona will become a must for any build you are planning to craft in the game. Here is a guide to the best Mona build in Persona 5: The Phantom X.

    Mona (Morgana) Build Overview

Mona or Morgana is a supportive character or healer in the Phantom X. In the job description section, Mona is referred to as a Salvation: You can heal your coworkers and provide resilience. Mona carries the wind element, making it perfect for wind team builds. In short, Mona is one of the best healers you can have in the game. Unlike our Joker or Panther, you don’t have to build a team around him, as Mona has a supportive role as a healer.

Mona’s strength is Wind; he has better resistance against wind-based attacks. But carries the weakness against lightning-based damage. The best part of Mona is the off-turn healing and applying a Winded status on enemies, lowering their defences.

    Mona Skillset

Mona’s powerful skill is Intuition, where he casts a follow-up heal but only if the ally attacking the enemy has less than 70% health and a stack of Intuition.

    Actives:

    • Gale Strike: A direct hit wind-damage attack, the attack will lower the defence of the enemy for two turns.  The skill also stacks with other debuffs; it doesn’t overwrite.
    • Healing Art: A common healing spell, but you can use it to dispel. Dispelling earns you Intuition. Your attack power will have an influence on this skill.
    • Gentle Punch: Here loses accuracy to deal a higher critical rate.
    • Combat Arts: The major part of the Combat Arts does damage, but it also revives an ally at 20% of the max health.

    Passives:

    • Self-Confidence: Adds a critical effect to Mona’s healing and a bonus 30% additional critical hit rate on healing. The stronger heal will be based on Mona’s attack power. So you will need to focus on the critical rate to see major advantages with Mona.
    • Binding: Lowers the SP consumption for all allies.

The two major roles of the Mona are healer and debuffer, so you will be using Gale Strike to inflict the Wind status on enemies, lowering the defense for the follow-up attack. You can use Gentle Punch to strike a higher critical hit rate, lowering the accuracy. Healing Art is an instant healing, perfect for scenarios that require immediate healing.

    Best Weapon Choice for Mona

We will recommend either picking up Recalcitrant Doctor or Ding! as a weapon for Mona. Both boost the critical rate aspect of Mona, to help her deal more healing and stacking Intuition.

Recalcitrant Doctor (5-Star): 18% critical gain, doing crit on enemy 10% more damage based on your max health. The healing skill will heal up a primary target.  Missing a skill will help you gather intuition.

Ding! (4-Star): Raises your critical rate by 5.9% and attacking an enemy heals the lowest health ally by a small percentage.

Moonlight Doctor (4-Star): 12% attack power after Mona heals. Mona’s health gets a 13% boost if the ally has over 80% health.

    Revelation Cards For Mona

The Revelation Cards for Mona come with a wide variety of choices, each offering different gameplay mechanics that suit one core playstyle. You can either focus on the ally’s attack power, lowering defense, or healing.

    • Love: It comes with 9% healing effect and an increased amount of healing to allies with HP less than 50%.
    • Focus + Love: User will get a 28% healing effect for 2 turns after a critical hit.
    • Sovereignty: 12% HP increase, attack skill will deal bonus damage of 8%.
    • Departure + Sovereignty: Lower the target’s defense upon using a skill by 23% for one round.
      • When it comes to primary stats, focus on HP, Healing bonus per sec, Attack%, and Critical Rate. Focus the secondary stats on critical hits to make Mona’s crits more powerful.

Another great choice here is Reconciliation, having four of them active at a time will raise your max HP and damage, and defense by 15%. Create + Reconcile is another choice, where the slowest ally at the start of the battle will deal 12% damage.

    Optimal Team for Mona

Since Mona plays a healer or support role, you can swap him into any team, as he is not the primary focus of a team. That role would go to the DPS dealer, panther, or Joker. Mona is characterized as a Healer. To build a team around Mona, we will use his Wind element as a team finder.

    • Best Team for Mona: Fleuret + Leon + Mona+ Okyann

Mona is a versatile character who could be slotted into almost any team. Since Mona is an excellent healer, perfect for building support for any build. Put Mona into any build that lacks healing or sustainability.
