Wolverine is one of the most popular characters to play as in Marvel Rivals. His unique list of skills and abilities make him a jack-of-all-trades, as he excels in both offense and defense. Since he is put under the Duelist category, it comes as no surprise that his moveset will overpower the other characters in the game. But if you wish to know how to finetune his playstyle, then you have come to the right place. In this guide we have explained everything there is to know about playing as Wolverine in Marvel Rivals.

    Marvel Rivals Wolverine Build Explained

Wolverine is one of the more interesting characters to play with, and picking him will help you scale the leaderboard. This hero is a 3-Star Duelist, and is probably one of the few characters who can deal combo attacks.

Vicious RampageUnleash a Claw Strike while dashing forwards.
Regenerative Healing Factor (Passive)Begin to heal and also get Bonus Health, with any remaining Bonus Health rounding up to a one-off heal. Helps increase Rage and removes all Debuffs.

Cooldown can be reduced with assisted KOs.
Berserker Rage (Passive)Builds up Rage when Wolverine takes hits or attacks. This increases damage from Claw Strike and also increases Bonus Health.

    Team Up Abilities

    AbilityEffect
Fastball SpecialHulk can pick up and hurl Wolverine, covering a large distance.

How To Play As Wolverine In Marvel Rivals

Wolverine’s build is quite interesting, but what sets him apart is that most of his attacks can form combos. The suggested combination of attacks is to get close to the target using Vicious Rampage, then combo with Feral Leap to turn the Savage Claw attack into Berserk Claw Strike. While that works when singling out enemies, if you are faced with a mob, start off with Undying Animal.

Follow that with the Savage Claw and Feral Leap, while keeping the Regenerative Healing Factor active. The cherry on top will be the Last Stand ultimate ability, which can be used right towards the end of the fight to bring the battle in your favor. With Wolverine, you can heal and unleash heavy-duty attacks, but the only thing that he lacks is support and defense. Those can be taken care of with the right hero pairings.

Strategists like Rocket Racoon and Jeff the Land Shark can help in healing and protecting Wolverine while he works as an offensive hero. But for his Team Up ability, pairing him up with the Hulk will potentially increase both hero’s attack powers. Wolverine works quite well with a wide variety of characters in a team, so there is no right or wrong answer when trying to match him up with others.

Another Duelist hero you can check out is Black Widow, and we have a guide covering everything there is to know about her skills, abilities, and playstyle.
