Dragon Quest throws multiple layers of amazing RPG mechanics to make the game more immersive than most RPGs in the industry. One of the fascinating systems is the personalities, on the surface they might not mean much, but they do change the gameplay a fair bit once you delve deeper into the game. Since there are a lot of personalities in the game, it can get confusing for a new player to choose the one that will fit their play style. So here is the guide to all the 46 personalities in Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake.

Personalities is a hidden skill system that affects attributes in the game.

Personalities will inflict attribute bonuses on the character. If you decide to have an Acrobat personality, then your acrobatic status will be affected by the personality. In Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, Choosing Acrobat will lead to faster agility gain.

The game does keep the personalities diverse, as some of them will come with their own set of drawbacks or cons to balance the system. Suppose you went with Free Spirit Personality, here you will get faster Resilience and Stamina gain but on the downside, you will have to deal with a lower Agility increase.

Basically, you are gambling for the best attribute choice while sacrificing the ability you want to ignore in the game.

How To Change Personalities In Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake

There are two ways we can go about changing personalities in the game, from equipping the proper accessories or reading books.

The personalities of the heroes get decided via the Personality Quiz happens at the initial phase of the game.

    Changing Personality Through Accessories

Accessories will have personality traits attached to them, as long as you are wearing the accessories on your character, you will benefit from the personality attributes. But the second you take the accessories off, you will lose its attribute effect.

Note: You will need to equip the accessories in the main slot, The slot only comes with stat values

    Changing Personality Through Books

Books follow a different route than accessories, while wearing the accessories will hand you the attribute change but it’s temporary. Reading books, on the other hand, will grant you personality attributes but they will last permanently. All books are meant for single use, you can’t read them again to spam the attributes or personalities in the game.
