Astromech is one of the many short quests in Star Wars Outlaws, where we have to follow up on a piece of intel to get the reward. This specific side quest is tied to faction reputation, so it is important for the gameplay. If you don’t have good standing with Pyke Syndicate, then you will gain a decent reputation with the faction by completing the Astromech side quest. Here’s a guide to help you find the location of the T9 Astromech droid in Star Wars Outlaws.

How To Find T9 Astromech Droid In Star Wars Outlaws

The T9 Astromech droid will be locked behind the energy barrier in a camp near Typhon’s Rock.

Ability Required: Speed Boost for the speeder, when you get to our location, you will come across a large gap between two cliffs, here you will need to use the Speed Boost ability to jump across the gap to make it to the other side.

The quest begins at Mirogana Market in Star Wars Outlaws, where we will overhear a conversation between two Pyke Syndicate members about a missing R5-T9 Droid. The only intel we will obtain from the Pyke Syndicate members is the last seen location of the missing droid. It will point us to the Typhon’s Rock in The Grazing Field of Toshara. We will start our journey once you get to the location.

    • Once you arrive at Typhon’s Rock, head to the southeast side of the landmark, you will find climbable walls and metal rods to help you get to the ledge on the top. When you are on the ledge, use the grappling hook to reach the highest spot.
    • When you have made it to the top, you will find a vendor to your right. The noticeable landmark here will be the camp the vendor has settled. Look to the right of the vendor’s location, to find a large red-painted speed ramp. You know what to do, get on the speeder and jump across the gap. Make sure to get some distance from the jumping spot to create a good momentum for the speed boost.

    • When you land on the other side, congrats you made it into the enemy camp. Here either you face enemies or a wild beast. It’s more fun to let the wild beast take out all the enemies in the area before making any move. Then you can switch to the Blaster module and put the beast to sleep forever.
    • Here send in Nix to the right of the camp to drop the ladder for us to climb. Loot the container next to the ladder to find Yellow Tail Wrappings (a Nix accessory).
    • Now go back to the camp, we will find our T9 droid locked behind a force field. Before we deactivate the force field, loot around, you will find Aurodium Necklace x1, Chalcopyrite x1, and Coarseweave x4. Once you have cleaned the entire camp of supplies, it’s time to interact with the terminal next to the force field to turn off the energy barrier.
    • This will release the T9 Astromech out of the locked cell, once it’s out, it will start to roll its way home, but make sure to be around the robot for some protection.

Go back to Mirogana Market to talk to the Pyke Syndicate members to complete the questline, you will get Pyke Syndicate Reputation from the quest giver.
